Solar Panels are a great investment. They add value to your home and make you more energy independent. Reduce your costs significantly and do your part to create a greener world. Depending on your location, you may also be able to benefit from rebates or tax credits to help offset the cost of solar panels.
At Gozen Construction we are experienced in Solar Panel planning and installation and can work with you from the start to get the project right.
With solar panel installation, there must be a well-planned and properly executed integration with your home’s current power systems. We can walk you through all of the requirements to ensure that your solar panels deliver the results that you expect, safely and efficiently.
Let’s look at what is involved:
Step 1: Consultation and Planning
Gozen Construction begins by discussing your energy goals, what solar panels can do for you, where they may be placed on your home or property as well as how solar energy integrates with your home’s current energy sources. There may be one or more visits to your home. Our engineers can evaluate the condition of your roof to determine how the panels can be adequately supported as well as evaluate ampere capacity of your existing electrical box. An additional visit may be required to evaluate angles and shade to determine positioning of the panels.
Step 2: Get a quote
Once you have a plan that is suitable for your home, it is time to get a quote for the cost of panels, materials and installation. Although you may have received an estimate earlier, now that the plan is finalized, you can expect a precise quote. At Gozen Construction we work with you very carefully on this process, so that the price we quote is the price you pay in total. We can also offer guidance to apply for any federal or state incentives that may be available to you.

Step 3: Prepare for installation
Once you have a plan and a quote, it is time to begin preparing for the installation. Gozen Construction takes care of getting the required permits, orders the panels, power optimizers or inverters and any other required materials, and set dates and a timeline for subcontractors
Step 4: Execute and complete installation
Installation typically takes one to three days and involves prepping the roof, adding wiring and installing the panels. Then, inverters are connected to the panels to convert direct current (DC) energy into the alternating current (AC) energy used in homes and on the electric grid. There may be additional meter installation required as well, depending on how your home will interface with the grid.
Step 5: Flip the Switch
You new system must now be inspected by local government officials to ensure that it meets code standards and may also need to be inspected by your energy utility company if you remain connected to the grid. Gozen Construction can guide you through the process and make the necessary appointments for inspections. Once your system passes inspection, we turn it on and you begin enjoying huge savings and clean solar energy!
